A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section nineteen, relating to
authorizing the elections commission to promulgate a
legislative rule relating to the regulation of
campaign finance.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section nineteen, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-19. Elections commission.
The legislative rule filed in the state register on
the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-nine, under the authority of section five, article
one-a, chapter three, of this code, modified by the
elections commission to meet the objections of the
legislative rule-making review committee and refiled in the
state register on the twenty-fourth day of September, one
thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, relating to the
elections commission (regulation of campaign finance

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the
Elections Commission to promulgate a legislative rule
relating to the Regulation Of Campaign Finance
